Essential Wardrobe Basics

Work wears

In building a solid feminine wardrobe, there are few essential work wear pieces necessary in a woman’s functioning clothing

Shirts: a good everyday shirt is a must for work, it is perfect for that board room meeting and interview, it doesn’t have to be a classic fit. You could invest in fitted ones with feminine touches; puff/voluminous sleeves, ruffle details, mandarin necklines and it’s better to stick with plain and stripy as these will easily match other basics.

Black tailored trousers/pants: you can show the world you mean business by looking professional when you don’t feel like wearing a dress or a skirt. They come in variety of fits which means you can get them high waist, wide leg, tapered depending on your body type, just be sure that waist fits and it flatters your body.

Skirt/Trouser suit: it is ideal for the modern woman to have at least one in her wardrobe. Invest in a well tailored and good quality ones- not only will they last, but they will offset anything you wear.

Pencil skirt: pencil skirts are very feminine no matter what body shape they’re fit into. You can do that sassy smart look by wearing them with short sleeve blouse.
Dresses: Shifts and shirts dresses are a perfect addition to work wear as you can make them look plain or dressed up as much as you like. Depending on mood, you can wear these dresses with flat shoes and glam up with accessories to go from desk to night outings.

Jackets/blazer: Short fitted jackets and long rolled sleeve blazers look modern and smart when worn with dresses, trousers and skirts with camisoles worn inside it gives a feminine touch to your ambition. Also look the business in a well-tailored blazer, which you can throw on with jeans over a shirt or sleeveless top.
Waistcoat: this is a great alternative to the tank top for more formal occasions. They are brilliant for emphasising /highlighting waistlines and curves around the hips

Jeans: a great casual professional works wear which can be worn with well-tailored blazer for a sassy rather than sexy but professional look.
