Black is the colour of coal, ebony and outer space. It is one of the first colours and the darkest colour,and was previously frequently associated with mourning and all sorts. In the 14th century, black began to be worn by the royalty, clergy, and in the 19th century businessmen/women and statesmen began to wear black.
Fast forward to the 20th century, black has become a high fashion colour associated with elegance.
